Your child is our priority
Here at Sharon Palmer Childminding, we have a good understanding of children's lives and their social contexts, basing our teaching around them. Supporting and encouraging personality development, autonomy and creativity are top priorities for us. Developing social interaction and understanding differences in others also plays an important role in our work. We offer equal opportunities here in an inclusive environment that caters for each child's individual needs. We are all unique and this should be celebrated. We also support you, the parent, in bringing up your child and respect that you are the experts of your child.
We believe in working together, in partnership with you, the parents.
We believe in getting outdoors in the fresh air:
With healthy walks every day to and from school whatever the weather, there are lots of things to discover! We walk along the river and feed the ducks...and the fish sometimes! It is particularly lovely during the spring months when the ducklings arrive. Last winter the children were amazed to dicover the river was actually frozen over because of the long cold weeks. We watched the ducks skate instead of paddle! Autumn is one of my favourite times of year when the children love to collect conkers and colourful fallen leaves on our walks home from school. Children benefit enormously from walking. Not only does it promote health and well-being but also the fun and the discoveries that they find in all weathers from snowy, icy, foggy mornings, Autumn dew and collecting conkers, Spring buds, flowers and ducklings to the lovely warm summers...just as you remember from your own magical childhood.
